PTC
Our Brand Story
The brand story of Prakash Transport Corporation (PTC) is a narrative of resilience, starting from a small family operation in the Millennium City of Cuttack to be a pan-India Company. PTC is a cornerstone of India’s logistics industry, with a legacy spanning over five decades. Founded on the principles of trust and reliability, it has grown into one of the most trusted logistics partner for companies across sectors in India.
The PTC Brand Philosophy
The brand is built on a “Legacy of Trust.” Unlike many logistics firms that focus solely on volume, PTC’s brand story emphasizes relationships.
- Core Values: Reliability, cargo integrity, and "Service Ahead of Sales."
- The Human Element: A significant part of the PTC story is its team. Many employees have been with the firm for decades, fostering a family-like culture that extends to their "third-generation" leadership approach.
- Safety Standards: The brand is reinforced by industry certifications, including ISO 9001:2015, and approval from the Indian Bank Association (IBA).
Here is a breakdown of the key chapters as the riveting brand story of PTC unfolded over the last 57 years
The story of PTC began in 1968, founded by the late Shri Krishan Kumar Arya Ji. In an era when India’s infrastructure was still developing, Shri Arya Ji envisioned a transport company that prioritized "Service Ahead of Sales."
Starting with a small fleet and a focus on the Odisha region, the company built its reputation on the grit and optimism of its founder. Shri Arya Ji was known for facing the logistical challenges of the 1960s and 70s with a "true fighter" spirit—a culture that remains embedded in the company today.
The Journey Started...
Following the founder’s passing, the second generation driven by visionary leadership of Mr. Sanjay Arya and Mr. Sujeet Arya took over the mantle of the Company. His strategic thinking and diligent working transformed the regional player into a national logistics entity. A brand name to reckon with in the logistics industry...
- Expansion: From its roots in Cuttack, the company expanded to over 50+ branches across 22+ states.
- Infrastructure: Setting a state-of-art Corporate Office which now manages business across sectors, serving over 1,000+ commercial and production establishments.
- The "Hub-and-Spoke" Model: PTC operates with a centralized hub in Cuttack (Odisha) and strategically placed regional offices across 22+ states.
Our Growth and Legacy
PTC positions itself not just as a mover of goods, but as a strategic partner. The brand is built on four core pillars:

- Versatility: Serving diverse sectors including Metal, Steel, Cement, Plywood, Fibre, Cables, Electrical, Machineries, FMCG, Beverages, Rubber, and Tea, to E-commerce.

Our clients choose PTC not just for transportation but for the assurance of on time delivery, cargo safety and transparent communications across every mile.

Key Milestones & Brand Recognition
- Third Generation: The Company is now transitioning into its third generation of leadership under Mr. Ayush Arya (thought leader) and Mr. Karan Arya (innovative thinker), focusing on integrating modern technology with traditional values. Expanding the business operations and models beyond the conventional space from FTL to PTL services to modern Warehousing, 3PL/4PL services and charting into emerging spaces operated by startup logistics companies. The newest leadership in the family is steering the brand toward Logistics 4.0.
- As PTC enters its third generation of family leadership, the focus has shifted toward innovation and sustainability. The company has launched initiatives like the PTC Logistics Skill Academy to train the next generation of logistics professionals and the PTC Green Logistics Division to explore eco-friendly supply chain solutions.
Looking Ahead: The Third Generation
The Arya family views CSR as a core business function rather than a charity. Their initiatives focus on multiple social activities:
- Education: Supporting schools in Odisha and the North-East to improve the literacy rates of the children of the trucking community.
- Health & Safety: Regular health check-up camps for long-haul drivers, focusing on eye-sight and ergonomic health.
- Environmental Stewardship: A gradual shift toward Euro-standard compliant fleets and exploring EV (Electric Vehicle) options for short-distance "Last Mile" urban deliveries.
